>>Cards Host Crew

(St. Louis, MO)  --  The Cardinals open up a three-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers tonight at Busch Stadium.  Kyle Lohse [[ Loash ]] is slated to toe the rubber opposite Yovani Gallardo [[ guy-ARE-doh ]] in the opener.  The Cards took two-of-three against the Mets in their last series, but dropped Wednesday's finale to fall to 74-and-63 on the season.

>>Nats Clobber Cubs

(Washington, DC)  --  Kurt Suzuki smacked a three-run homer and Adam LaRoche added a two-run shot, his fifth homer in the series, as the Nationals clobbered the Cubs, 9-2, to sweep the four-game set. 
Anthony Rizzo homered for the Northsiders, who have dropped six in-a-row and
nine-of-11. The Cubs open a weekend series tonight in Pittsburgh.

>>White Sox Host Royals

(Chicago, IL)  --  The Chicago White Sox open up a three-game series against the Kansas City Royals this evening at The Cell.  Francisco Liriano is expected to be on the bump against Luis Mendoza in
the opener.  The Southsiders took two-of-three from the Minnesota Twins in their
last series to improve to 74-and-62 on the season.

>>Illini At Arizona State This Weekend

(Tempe, AZ)  --  The
Illinois Fighting Illini square off against the Arizona State Sun Devils on
Saturday night in Tempe.  The Illini are coming off a 24-7 victory over Western
Michigan in last weekend's season-opener.  Illinois beat ASU, 17-14, last season
in Champaign.

>>Irish Host Purdue Saturday

(South Bend, IN)  --  The 22nd-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish play their home-opener on
Saturday afternoon against the Purdue Boilermakers in South Bend.  The Irish
routed Navy, 50-10, last weekend in Dublin, Ireland to kick off their season.

>>Mizzou To Host Georgia In First SEC Game

(Columbia, MO)  --  The Missouri Tigers are gearing up for their first SEC conference game.  Mizzou
hosts seventh-ranked Georgia Saturday night at Faurot Field.  The Tigers blew
out Southeastern Louisiana 62-10 last weekend.  The Bulldogs bounced Buffalo
45-23 last Saturday.
