>>Cardinals Lose To Mets

(St. Louis, MO)  --  Ike Davis hit a three-run homer to help power the Mets to a 6-2 win over the Cardinals.  R.A. Dickey became the first pitcher to 18 wins for New York.  Adam Wainwright
homered for St. Louis, but also took the loss.  The Cardinals host the Brewers
Friday.

>>Cubs Clubbed By Nats

(Washington, DC)  --  Bryce Harper hit two of the Nationals' six home runs in a 9-1 win over the Cubs in D.C.  Gio Gonzalez no-hit Chicago into the sixth inning en route to his 18th win.  Anthony Rizzo
homered for Chicago, which has lost five straight.  The series finale is
tonight.

>>Rios Homers Twice As White Sox Top Twins

(Chicago, IL)  --  Alex Rios hit a grand slam in the first inning and a two-run shot in the sixth to
power the White Sox to a 6-2 win over the Twins in yesterday's series finale. 
Jake Peavy scattered five hits and a run over six innings to even his record at
10-and-10 with the win.  Dewayne Wise had two hits and scored a run for the Pale
Hose, who took two-of-three at U.S. Cellular Field.  The Southsiders are off
today.  They open up a three-game series against the Kansas City Royals tomorrow
evening in the Windy City.  Francisco Liriano is expected to be on the bump
against Luis Mendoza in the opener.

>>Rams' Secondary Set To Face "Megatron"

(St. Louis, MO)  --  The Rams' defensive unit is sure to be tested against the Lions.  The young
secondary includes five rookies as the Rams try to contain Lions' star wide
receiver Calvin Johnson.  The Rams' DB's are now led by veteran free agent
pickup Cortland Finnegan.

>>Mizzou To Host Georgia In First SEC Game

(Columbia, MO)  --  The Missouri Tigers are gearing up for their first SEC conference game.  Mizzou
hosts seventh-ranked Georgia Saturday night at Faurot Field.  The Tigers blew
out Southeastern Louisiana 62-10 last weekend.  The Bulldogs bounced Buffalo
45-23 last Saturday.
