>>Cardinals Host Astros
(St. Louis, MO)  --  The Cardinals host the Astros tonight in the first of a three-game series at Busch Stadium.  The Cardinals have lost three-of-four and are third in the NL Central at 65-and-56.  Houston has the worst record in baseball at 39-and-83.  The Astros just fired manager Brad Mills on Saturday.

>>Brewers Cruise Past Cubs
(Milwaukee, WI)  --  Jonathan Lucroy and Carlos Gomez hit back-to-back homers during an eight-run fifth inning as the Brewers cruised past the Cubs, 9-5.  Josh Vitters went deep and David DeJesus knocked in two for the Cubs, who have dropped four-of-five.  Justin Germano was rocked for seven runs in four-and-two-thirds as he fell to 2-and-3.  The second game of the series is tonight, with Chris Rusin opposing Marco Estrada.

>>White Sox Use Homers To Bounce Bombers
(Chicago, IL)  --  The White Sox used homers in three consecutive innings to defeat the Yankees, 9-6.  Gordon Beckham's solo shot tied things in the sixth and Alexei Ramirez hit a two-run bomb in the seventh to give Chicago the lead.  Adam Dunn added his MLB-leading 36th roundtripper of the season in the eighth inning.  DeWayne Wise also hit a two-run shot for the Sox, who snapped a three-game slide.  Brett Myers picked up the win while Addison Reed locked up his 22nd save.  Francisco Liriano will toe the rubber against Ivan Nova in tonight's second installment.

>>Bears Make Roster Moves
(Chicago, IL)  --  The Chicago Bears made a pair of roster moves on Monday.  The Bears signed safety Mark LeGree and waived linebacker Ronnie Thornton.  Chicago continues its exhibition slate on Friday evening at the New York Giants.

>>Rams Gear Up For Cowboys
(St. Louis, MO)  --  The Rams play their third game of the preseason this Saturday at Dallas.  They bounced back from an ugly 38-3 loss at Indianapolis by beating Kansas City 31-17 at home this past Saturday.  The Rams will wrap up preseason play a week from Thursday at home against Baltimore.
