At a recent Taylorville School Board meeting the issue of a facility tax was brought to the attention of board members.

Taylorville Schools Superintendent Gregg Fuerstenau says that this tax could help the district in many ways.

Fuerstenau says that he has experience with the Iowa plan that this tax was based on

The tax would not affect many items including vehicles, boats, RV’s, mobile homes, unprepared food, drugs, farm equipment, farm equipment parts and farm inputs.
