>>Cards Clip Brewers

(St. Louis, MO)  --  Kyle Lohse [[ lowsh ]] tossed six innings of shutout ball as the Cardinals topped the Brewers, 3-0.  Lohse struck out six and improved to 12-and-2.  Jason Motte [[ MOT ]] recorded
his 24th save for St. Louis, which swept the three-game series.  The Cards have
won five-of-six overall.  Daniel Descalso was 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI. 
The Cards start a four-game set with the Giants tonight. 

>>Dodgers Down Cubs In Ninth

(Los Angeles, CA)  --  Hanley Ramirez hit a walk off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the
Dodgers a 7-6 win over the Cubs.  Reliever Kenley Jansen earned the win despite
blowing the save when he allowed a game tying home run to Anthony Rizzo in the
top of the ninth.  It was Rizzo's ninth homer of the season and it capped a
2-for-4 day with three RBI.  Reliever Shawn Camp was tagged with the loss.  The
Cubs look to snap a five-game losing streak when they continue their road trip
tonight against the Padres.

>>White Sox Sink Angels

(Chicago, IL)  --  A.J. Pierzynski blasted a pinch-hit two-run home run to help the White Sox beat the Angels, 4-2.  Pierzynski has homered in five straight games.  Kevin Youkilis lifted a solo
shot for Chicago, which has won four-of-five.  Nate Jones improved to 5-and-0
out of the bullpen.  Addison Reed locked up his 19th save.  The Southsiders open
up a three-game series against the Kansas City Royals this evening at The Cell. 
Chris Sale is expected to toe the rubber against Luis Mendoza in the opener.

>>Bradford's Ankle Still Isn't 100 Percent

(St. Louis, MO)  --  After the Rams held a scrimmage Saturday night Sam Bradford met with reporters
and said his ankle still isn't 100-percent.  He suffered a severe high ankle
sprain in the fifth game last season against the Green Bay Packers.  Bradford is
looking to bounce back from a disappointing second year. 

>>Safety Darwyn Kelly Commits To Illinois

(Champaign, IL)  --  The Illinois Fighting Illini football team has added another recruit to its Class of
2013.  Senior safety Darwyn Kelly from Howard D. Woodson High School in
Washington, DC has committed to Illinois.  The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Kelly is
ranked as the 44th best safety in the nation.  The Illini now have 16
commitments in its 2013 class.
