An apparent shooting Sunday night in Taylorville sent a local man to the hospital. According to a press release from the Taylorville Police Department, 39 year old Andrew A. Heberling of Taylorville was shot in the leg during an altercation with 35 year old Jaime R. Heberling of Taylorville.
Andrew Heberling was sent to a Springfield hospital to be treated for non life threatening injuries. The incident occurred Sunday night around 10:30.
Jaime Heberling is a former Taylorville Police officer. The investigation is being conducted by Illinois State Police and the Taylorville Police Department.
