>>Cards Fly Over Rockies

(St. Louis, MO)  --  Matt Holliday was 3-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI as the Cardinals beat the Rockies, 4-1.  Adam Wainwright moved to 7-and-8 striking out seven and allowing one-run across
six innings.  St. Louis has won three of its last four games.  These two teams
finish off their four-game series tonight with Lance Lynn facing off against
Christian Friedrich. 

>>Cubs Down Braves

(Atlanta, GA)  --  Anthony Rizzo and Bryan LaHair each hit solo home runs to help the Cubs take out the Braves, 5-1.  The two combined to go 4-for-7 while Paul Maholm improved 6-and-6 by dealing six
innings of one-run ball with five strikeouts.  Chicago has won five of its last
six games.  Matt Garza goes up against Mike Minor in this evening's series
finale.

>>ChiSox Slide By Rangers

(Chicago, IL)  --  Kevin Youkilis singled home Alejandro De Aza in the bottom of the 10th inning to give
the White Sox a 5-4 win over the Rangers.  Gordon Beckham knocked in a pair of
runs for Chicago, which has won the first two games of this series.  Addison
Reed picked up the win out of the bullpen.  Jose Quintana gets the nod opposite
Matt Harrison in this afternoon's series finale.

>>Injury Forces Noah Off French Team

(Chicago, IL)  --  Joakim [[ joe-KEEM ]] Noah will no longer be playing in the London
Olympics.  The Chicago Bulls center announced on Wednesday that he would not be participating for
France because of an ankle injury he suffered during the NBA playoffs.  Noah
averaged 10.2 points and 9.8 rebounds per game last season for the Bulls.
