The Christian County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the Christian County Coroner, is investigating the death of Leon D. Hart, 51, of Taylorville.

On Wednesday, June 13th, 2012, at approximately 9:40am the Christian County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an unoccupied vehicle parked at the rear of the Edinburg Cemetery property.

Deputies from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, along with officers from the Edinburg and Taylorville Police Departments, responded and conducted a search of the area. During the course of this search the victim was discovered in a wooded area near the cemetery. He was pronounced dead at the scene from an apparent hanging.

This matter is currently being investigated by the Christian County Sheriff's Office and Christian County Coroner.
