 width=After six public forums and much debate over which candidate would be the right candidate for the job the Republican County Chairman have chosen Taylorville native Rodney Davis to run for the 13th district in the US Congress.

Tim Johnson, who won the Republican primary in March, retired in April leaving the spot open.

Davis says that he is excited to run.

Davis says that there are many differences between him and his opponent Democrat and ER Physician from Bloomington David Gill.

Davis has been an aide to Congressman John Shimkus and has been endorsed by Shimkus as well as Congressman Bobby Schilling, and Aaron Schock.
