Jordan Stout of Taylorville was awarded one of the Illinois Sheriffs’ Association Academic Scholarships.

In a statement Sheriff Kettelkamp said that Ms. Stout was selected from a number of highly qualified applicants in the Christian County area, and we commend all of them for participating in this process.

Stout says that the scholarship means a lot.

Stout also says that she wants to go into a field that works closely with police.

Kettelkamp also said in a statement that Illinois Sheriffs consider this scholarship program to be an investment in the future as well as a strong signal of their respect and support for education.
