The Taylorville Police Department has been using a simulator to teach officers what to do when many different situations occur.

Officer Rick Bryant of the Taylorville Police Department says it is realistic.

Bryant also says that the simulator shows officers scenarios before officers see them in the line of duty.

Throughout 2011 the Taylorville Police Department responded to over 15,000 calls for service.
