On Friday Donald F. Sams, 62, of Taylorville was traveling north on Webster Street with a juvenile passenger, Sams had changed lanes and was approaching the intersection of Webster and John Street. Eugene A. Edwards, 79, of Taylorville was attempting to exit the parking lot of KFC.

Edwards saw Sams, but thought that Sams was turning into the KFC parking lot. Edwards pulled into the roadway causing a collision between Edwards 2008 Chevrolet Mini and Sams 2005 Lincoln Town Car.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene, but there were no injuries reported.
