The New Year's holiday is just days away and police are going to be out in force. They're urging drivers to arrange designated drivers.  Illinois State Police Trooper Mike Link of District 11 in Collinsville says some party goers may rent a limousine or a "party bus."

Cops will participate in the "Click it or Ticket" and "You Drink, You Drive You Lose" campaigns to help keep motorists safe this weekend and well into the New Year.  Link urges party goers to keep their consumption of alcohol under control and most importantly, don't get behind the wheel after drinking.  On average, one person is killed in an alcohol related death every 45-minutes on New Year's Eve.
