Farmers Raise Big Money To Help Needy

An effort by farmers in Western Illinois nets a big return for a River Bend Food Bank.  Henry County producer Wayne Anderson says the "Bushels for Hunger" campaign raised over 22-thousand dollars in its second year.

Seventy-five farmers participated in the program this year.  They represent Henry, Mercer, Stark, Rock Island, and White Side County Farm Bureaus.  Their efforts will help needy families in their communities this holiday season.
