Illinois Bust Man for Large Quanitity of Cannibas

Illinois State Police, South Central Illinois Drug Task Force, with the assistance of Collinsville Police Department and Metropolitan Enforcement Group Southern Illinois, Arrested Rodney L. Neuner, Bunker Hill, Illinois, for Unlawful Possession of a large quantity of cannabis.  Neuner was taken into custody and taken  to the Macoupin County Jail, where he was held on a $50,000 bond. 

The arrest warrant was a result of a suspicious Federal Express Package discovered at the Federal Express Distribution center, addressed to Neuner’s Bunker Hill residence.  The package was alerted on by Collinsville Police Department K-9 and discovered to contain (5) Pounds of marijuana.  South Central Illinois Drug Task Force was contacted and conducted a controlled delivery on the package at the residence where Neuner was immediately taken into custody.

Bunker Hill, Illinois is located in Macoupin County Illinois where Macoupin County Sheriff’s Department has been a long time representative in the South Central Illinois Drug Task Force.

The aforementioned charge is a Class 1 Felony.  A Class 1 Felony carries a penalty which ranges from a fine up to $150,000 dollars and a possible imprisonment of 4 - 15 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
