Nate Scheelhaase threw for 217 yards and ran in for a score for the Illini, who have dropped two straight to fall to 6-and-2. Jason Ford had 10 grabs for 83 yards and a score in the loss. Purdue has won six of the last seven meetings between the Big Ten foes.
