At Tuesday night’s Taylorville City Council meeting, city aldermen voted in favor of making the Taylorville Fire Department an ALS services department, which will allow the department to also have an ambulance service as a back-up to other ambulance services in town.

Taylorville Mayor Greg Brotherton explained that this will not affect other EMS teams in town and that this will be a beneficial addition to the city.

The motioned passed by a vote of 8 – 0.
