The Illinois State Fair continues to be a huge economic boost for Springfield and Sangamon County, but it also draws in much needed revenue for surrounding areas such as Christian and Montgomery County.
At Thursday’s Republican Day at the Illinois State Fair, Taylorville Mayor Greg Brotherton reported that the annual fair is a great boost for area towns and everyone is able to benefit from the state fair being so important to central Illinois.

The fair will wrap up Sunday in Springfield.
