Jake Peavy took the loss, allowing five runs in four-and-a-third innings. A.J. Pierzynski scored and drove in a run for the Southsiders, who are four-and-a-half games back of Detroit. The Southsiders are off for the All-Star break. They return to action on Friday with the opener of a three-game set against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park.
