The following court cases were heard in Christian County Court on Friday, September 5th. 

Christopher Barnes fails to appear but is still incarcerated in the Illinois Department of Corrections.  Video writ to issue for 10/16/2025

Ryan D. Buerk  Defendant pleads guilty to the charge of possession of methamphetamine, a class III felony. Remaining counts dismissed pursuant to negotiated plea. Sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by six months of mandatory supervised release. Sentenced to be served at the rate of 50% with credit for time served of 68 days. Defendant assessed $1000 fine plus assessments. 

Ryan D. Callaway pleads guilty to the charge of possession of a firearm without a firearm owner's identification card (amended Count II). Remaining counts dismissed on motion of the State pursuant to negotiated plea. Judgment of conviction entered. By agreement, Defendant sentenced to two years probation, 354 days in the county jail with credit for 177 days served. Defendant assessed a $5000 fine plus assessments.

Tyler Engelhart Preliminary hearing set for October 3rd.
