Christian County Court Cases 10/29/19

The Following Court Cases were heard in front of Judge Christopher Matoush on Tuesday October 29th.

 

Kacey D Burton appeared in custody.  Plea agreement being worked on. Pretrial continued December 17th. 

 

Elizabeth A. Coatney appeared in custody. Pretrial only set for December 17,

 

Sierra S. Hatfill appeared in court. Next court date December 17th.

 

Skylar LP Rider appeared in court. Continuance set for November 4th jury trial vacated.pretrial only set for December 10th.

 

Donald Felton fails to appear. Council only status set for December 9th.

 

Brian M. Hays appeared in court. December 19th is the next court date.

 

Richard L Kelley fails to appear.  Further status set for November 1st.

 

Melinda D. Mahone appeared in court. All pretrial motions met. Ready for jury trial. Juries will be picked on Monday. 

 

James Coghlan appeared in custody.  Waived preliminary hearing, waived arraignment, plead not guilty, request trial by jury.  Jury trial still set for December 2nd for older cases PT set for November 19th for all cases.

 

Randall Smith fails to appear. Still in treatment. Motion for preliminary hearing reset. December 10th

 

Roy H. TImmes appeared in custody. Plea agreement met.  Class 4 extended term eligible sentence. The maximum penalty for this is 1-6 years. Fine up to $25,000 with 4 years Mandatory Supervised Release (Parole). or probation for up to 30 months. Actual penalties are In exchange for a guilty plea, the defendant will be sentenced to 4 years in DOC, plus 4 years MSR. All other charges dismissed. Fines and Fees. 124 days already served.  The state believes 18 months for good time served.
