Christian County Court Cases 8/11/17

These are the results of the following court cases heard in the Christian County Court on Friday, August 11th:

 

17CF098 - Paul E. Allen - Criminal Damage to Property Between $500 and $10,000 and Domestic Battery - Motion to Reduce Bail. State and defense will continue to discuss the bond motion outside the courtroom. Bond hearing continued until next court appearance scheduled for September 5 at 10 a.m.

 

17CM096 - Kelsie M. Bass - Obstructing Identification - Appearance with Counsel. Also two traffic charges. Not here. Warrant issued, $5,000 bond set over objection of the her counsel.

 

17CM076 - Timothy Bethard - Battery - Appearance with Counsel. Formal arraignment is waived, pre-trial only requested. State has made an offer. Notice to appear set for September 19 at 10 a.m.

 

17CF031 - Wendy M. Chamness - Possession of Meth Less Than 5 Grams - Plea. Defendant will be pleading guilty as charged. She will be put on 2 years of first offender probation. Factual basis is given. Next court appearance scheduled for September 27 at 9 a.m.

 

17CF075 - Jacob J. Graham - Aggravated Battery in a Public Place - Preliminary Hearing. Preliminary hearing is waived. Formal arraignment is waived. Plea of not guilty is entered. Jury trial is requested and scheduled for October. Pre-trial scheduled for September 26 at 10 a.m.

 

16CF127 - Patricia H. Horn - Retail Theft Less Than $300 - Pre-trial. Defendant enters plea of guilty. Factual basis is given. Sentencing hearing scheduled for September 25 at 2 p.m.

 

17CF061 - Jacob C. Krouse - Narcotics Possession - Negotiated Plea. Defendant will plead guilty to the charge as written, and there will be a cap of 8 years in prison at the sentencing hearing. Factual basis is given. Sentencing hearing scheduled for October 3 at 1:15 p.m.

 

17CF155 - Dylan M. McConnell - Criminal Damage to Property Between $500 and $10,000 and Child Endangerment - Status Hearing. Bond hearing was scheduled, but defendant posted bond without reduction necessary. Preliminary hearing is waived. Formal arraignment is waived. Not guilty plea entered. Requesting pre-trial only at this point. Pre-trial scheduled for October 17 at 10 a.m.

 

17CF095 -  Shannon M. Miller - Forgery and Theft Less Than $500 - Counsel only Status. Also 17CM087 - Retail Theft Less Than $300 - First Appearance. Public defender appointed in 17CM087. Preliminary hearing scheduled for 17CF095 on September 18 at 10 a.m.

 

17CF037 - Nathan E. Pinnell - Producing 5 to 20 Cannabis Plants - Negotiated Plea. Defendant is waiting on a medical marijuana card to enter plea, he does not have it yet. Negotiated plea continued until August 25 at 10 a.m.

 

17CF120 - Shayne O’Dell - Domestic Battery with a Prior - Hearing. Warrant issued, bond set for $100,000 over objection of defense counsel.

 

17CF149 - Justice T. Stalling - 2 Counts of Meth Delivery Less Than 5 Grams - Motion to Reduce Bail. Defendant testifies on his own behalf. Bond reduction granted, dropped from $15,000 to $10,000. Defense also waives preliminary hearing scheduled for September 1. Formal arraignment is waived, jury trial requested. Jury trial set for October, final pre-trial set for September 25 at 10 a.m.

 

17CF144 - Shane R. Trudeau - Criminal Trespassing to Residence with Person Present - Preliminary Hearing. Also 17CM004 - 2 Counts of Domestic Battery - Pre-trial. Both cases are going to be dismissed due to possible falsified witness testimony.
