Christian County Court Cases 2/16/17

These are the results of the following court cases heard on February 16th, 2017 at the Christian County Courthouse.

16CF164 - Acree, Patrick A - PreTrial - Next court date set for February 23rd.

17CF027 - Allen, Noah L - Appearance with Counsel - Defendant would like to renew appointment of counsel, after finding out that his assets aren’t as valuable as he thought. Motion granted and public defender appointed. Prelim hearing scheduled for March 6th.

16CF222 - Bailey, George T - PreTrial - State asks for one final court date so they can work out details of a potential plea. Asks for 30 days to work out details. Motion to continue granted, next court date set for March 17th.

16CF109 - Martin, Bradley E - PreTrial - Partially negotiated plea reached. Must have a sentencing hearing, and state would be seeing consecutive sentences during sentencing. Defendant pleads guilty to counts 2 and 3. Sentencing scheduled for May 4th.

17CF017 - Westerfield, Joshua A - Motion to Reduce Bail - Defendant does have a prior felony conviction. Defendant states he feels he can post bond for a $10,000 bond. Asked the court to entertain reducing bond to either $10,000 or recognizance. Also seeking a disability claim, and needs to see several doctors for that, and cannot do that while in jail. State argues that bond is already set appropriately for the charges, and possibly plans on filing more charges, and if there isn’t a plea deal reached, the state may be asking for an increase in bond to reflect the charges. Bond motion denied. Next court date February 24th.
