Coach Ryan Brown joked he had no finger nails left, as the Taylorville Tornadoes played tough defense for the last 1:21 of the game holding on for a 52-50 victory over the Pana Panthers in the Coal Miner's Trophy. The game had multiple lead changes and it came down to a missed last shot to give the Tornadoes the victory. Center Baron Odam was the Brandon Bible Country Financial Player of the game finishing with 14 points and a double double. It's the first time in three years that Taylorville has won and all of the games have been very close. Taylorville plays at Mattoon on February 6th.
