Christian County Court Cases 8/15/23

The following court cases were heard on August 15th, 2023:

 

Kyle Brown: Special Prosecutor Havera; Defendant with PD Senger. PD Senger needs additional time to investigate whether Defendant qualifies for mental health court. Reset for further pretrial on 9/11/23 at 10 a.m.

 

Susan Fisher: SA present, PD Senger present, and Defendant failed to appear. Matter reset for plea on 8/29/23 at 10 a.m. Clerk to send notice. 

 

Skye Halleman: SA McWard present; Defendant with PD Senger. 2021-CF-114 vacated; matter set for PH on 10/17/23 at 10 a.m.

 

Brittany Hill: Special Prosecutor Havera; Defendant with PD Grigsby. Matter set for further pretrial only on 9/11/23 at 10 a.m.

 

Melinda Mahone: Special Prosecutor Havera; Defendant with Attorney Rahar. Parties still negotiating; reset for pretrial/plea on 9/11/23 at 10 a.m.

 

Michael Morrissey: Special Prosecutor Havera; Defendant with PD Grigsby. Matter reset for fruther pretrial only on 10/27/23 at 10 a.m. If no plea agreement, Defendant can appear via Zoom.

 

Kyle Nation: State's Attorney present; Defendant appears in custody of Christian County Jail. Court finds probable cause to detain; Public Defender Senger appointed for bond arguments, bond arguments made and bond set in the amount of $10,000 (10%) with no contact with Randall Sheley or his residence. If Defendant wants treatment, Court will enter furlough order. PD Senger appointed for Defendant going forward; second look hearing set for 8/21/23 at 8:30 a.m.

 

Gilbert Neal: Special Prosecutor Havera; Defendant with PD Senger. FAWC on pending pretrial; Defendant enters a general denial and waives further arraignment. Matter set for pretrial only on 10/27/23 at 10 a.m.

 

Nathan Redman: State's Attorney present, Defendant with APD Grigsby. Matter set for one additional pretrial only on 9/26/23 at 10 a.m. If no agreement, matter to be placed on scheduling order.

 

Erin Robbins: Special Prosecutor Havera for the people, Defendant with Attorney Calvert. Defendant pleads guilty to Count 1 of information. Defendant sentenced to 2-years of probation; conviction to enter - 180 days in the Christian County Jail, with credit for 4 days served. Remaining jail sentence stayed pending successful completion of probation. Subject to testing; No entry into Taylorville Wal-Mart; DNA testing and pay the $250 DNA fee, $500 fine plus assessments. Defendant to pay $62/month beginning on 9/15/23; POA on 1/10/24 at 9 a.m. 

 

Billie Sheehy: State's Attorney present and Defendant with APD Grigsby. Defendant pleads guilty to Count 1 - Defendant placed on 24 months of First Offender Probation. Charges and penalties explained; Defendant has a fee waiver pending. Matter set for hearing on fee waiver for 9/27/23 at 9 a.m.; pending bond to apply.

 

Nikki Snow: Special Prosecutor Havera and Defendant with PD Senger. Matter reset for further pretrial on pending PTRs for 10/27/23 at 10 a.m.

 

William Thomas: Special Prosecutor Havera and Defendant via Zoom with PD Senger. Defendant's PSC referal still pending; reset to 9/11/23 at 10 a.m.
