The following cases were heard on July 17th, 2023:

Christopher Carnahan: Defendant present in person with Assistant Public Defender Grigsby and Assistant State's Attorney DePaepe. Sentencing hearing scheduled for in person hearing on 8/25/23 at 1:15 p.m. Probation department ordered to update the PSI and privde copies to counsel and the Court. Case called for hearing on Defendant's Motion for Bond Reduction. Defendant sworn and testifies. Arguments heard. Motion denied for reasons stated on the record.

Nicholas Cox: Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. By agreement, pretrial hearing contined to 8/28/23 at 10 a.m. State to make offer.

Matthew Harden: Defendant present by Attorney Brown and State's Attorney. By agreement,, petition to expunge granted. See written order.

Brittany Hill: Defendant present with counsel and State's Attorney present. Case called for hearing on Defendant's motion for appointment of special prosecutor. Arguments heard. Motion granted for reasons stated on the record. SAAP appointed as special prosecutor. Pretrial hearing scheduled for 8/15/23 at 10 a.m.

Ashley Layton: Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. Pretrial hearing contined to 8/28/23 at 10 a.m. State has made plea offer and answered discovery. Defendant unable to meet with counsel after last court date but will schedule appointment today.

Jason Leach: Defendant present in person with PD Grigsby and State's Attorney present. Parties stipulate to the admission of Dr. Killian's report. The Court finds Defendant is not fit to stand trial but is likely to be restored to fitness with outpatient treatment to be done based upon a referral from DHS will be facilitated by the Public defender's office. Status on fitness restoration scheduled for 10/10/23 at 10 a.m. Written order to follow.

Drakeem Manning: Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. For reasons stated on the record, motion to modify furlough to allow defendant to engage in the FGC extended stay program granted, subject to defendant's compliance with any program terms of FGC. Defendant ordered to return to the jail upon leaving that program for any reason. Pretrial hearing scheduled for 8/29/23 at 10 a.m. 7/21/23 hearing vacated. Count III dismissed on motion of the State for reasons stated on the record.

Lance Pitsch: Defendant present remotely from IDOC pro se and SP Zalar present. Hearing on motion for default re-motion to strike filed by Defendant scheduled for remote hearing 8/22/23 at 11 a.m. Video writ to issue.

Justin Price: Defendant present with counsel and State's Attorney present. By agreement, plea hearing scheduled for 7/24/23 at 10 a.m.

Benjamin Rakers: Defendant present by counsel and State's Attorney present. By agreement, case continued for presentation of negotiated plea on 8/17/23 at 10 a.m. in person. Parties just got the requested restitution figures.

Charlene Ray: Defendant present pro se and State's Attorney present. Defendant admonished regarding charges, penalties, and rights. By agreement, Public Defender appointed to represent Defendant. First appearance with counsel and second chance bond hearing scheduled for 7/24/23 at 10 a.m. Category B offense bond order entered with recognizance release date of 9/4/23. See written order.

Daniel Skaggs: Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. By agreement, case continued for presentation of negotiated plea on 8/25/23 at 10 a.m. In person writ to issue.

Juan Starks: Defendant fails to appear. State's Attorney present. Warrant to issue. Bond set at $25,000. Bond forfeiture notice to issue, returnable on 8/29/23 at 10 a.m.

Chad Wilber: Defendant present with PD Senger and SP havera present. No offer made because of pending federal case of co-defendant. APD Grigsby to take over this case. By agreement, pretrial hearing set 9/11/23 at 10 a.m.
