Christian County Court Cases 05/16/2023

The following court case was heard on May 16th, 2023:

 

Bobbie Abberley: Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. Defendant knowingly and voluntarily waives preliminary hearing. See written waiver. Defendant waives arraignment, pleads not guilty, and demands trial by jury. Pretrial hearing scheduled for 7-10-23 at 10 a.m. State makes offer in court.

 

Joshua Bain: Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. By agreement, pretrial hearing continued to 5-19-23 at 11 a.m.

 

Joshua Bland: Defendant present with counsel and State's Attorney present. By agreement, hearing on the petition to modify bond scheduled for in person hearing on 5-23-23 at 10 a.m.

 

Kimberly England: Defendant present with counsel and State's Attorney present. By agreement, pretrial hearing continued to 7-11-23 at 10 a.m.

 

Lucas Fenton: Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. Case called for preliminary hearing. Officer sworn and testifies. Court finds probable cause. Defendant waives arraignment, pleads not guilty and demands trial by jury. Pretrial hearing scheduled for 6-20-23 at 10 a.m. Case called for hearing on Defendant's Motion for Furlough. Arguments heard. Motion denied for reasons stated on the record.

 

Tatiana Fisher: Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. By agreement, pretrial hearing continued to 7-18-23 at 10 a.m.

 

Robert Hodson: State's Attorney and SP Kroncke present. Defendant's attorney not prsent but advisd SA he has no objection to return of records which were sent under seal and remain sealed to the SAO. By agrement, records to be returned to the State and State ordered to provide records to defense counsel.

 

Stacey Karnes: Defendant appears remotely pro se and State's Attorney present. Defendant still has not had her substance abuse evaluation due to lack of transportation and money. Public defender appointed to represent Defendant. Appearance with counsel scheduled for 6-20-23 at 10 a.m.

 

Jacob Legnon: Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. By agreement, pretrial hearing continued to 7-18-23 at 10 a.m. State has answered discovery and made a plea offer. Defendant directed to make an appointment with his attorney to review same.

 

Cody Long: Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. By agreement, pretrial hearing continued to 6-27-23 at 10 a.m. Parties anticipate possible plea agreement at that time. Defendant has DUI evaluation scheduled.

 

Kyle Mair: Parties present by counsel. State failed to issue video writ. Preliminary hearing 6-30-23 at 10 a.m. In person writ to issue.

 

Mitchell Manion: Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. Negotiated plea presented and approved by the Court, whereby Defendant admits the allegations in the PTR. Defendant sentenced to two years problem-solving court probation in the drug court program. State objects but agrees to see without a sentencing hearing and waives pre-sentence investigation report. See written orders.

 

Robin Parsons: Defendant fails to appear. Notice to appear to issue for 6-15-23 at 10 a.m.

 

Ashley Rockford: Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. By agreement, pretrial hearing continued to 5-23-23 at 10 a.m. State to tender plea offer.

 

Kerri Skinner: Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. Defendant knowingly and voluntarily waives preliminary hearing. See written waiver. Defendant waives arraignment, pleads not guilty, and demands trial by jury. Pretrial hearing scheduled for 7-10-23 at 10 a.m.

 

Haylee Taylor: Defendant present with counsel and State's Attorney present. By agreement, final pretrial hearing scheduled for 9-19-23 at 1:15 p.m. Jury trial scheduled for 10-2-23 at 8:30 a.m. Both hearings are in person. Parties ordered to file pretrial motions at least 30 days before the jury trial to be heard at the final pretrial hearing. Trial in abstentia admonition given.

 

Ray Timmes: Defendant present in custody remotely with PD Senger who is appointed to represent him by agreement. State's Attorney present. Defendant admonished regarding charges and possible penalties. Proffer made. Probable cause found for his arrest and detention. Bond hearing conducted. Arguments heard. For reasons stated on the record, court finds cash bond appropriate in the amount of $100,000. Preliminary hearing scheduled for 5-30-23 at 10 a.m.

 

Sterling Thomas: Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. By agreement, hearing on PTR scheduled for in person hearing 6-16-23 at 11 a.m. Hearing in abstentia warning given.

 

Dean Weller: Defendant present with Public Defender and State's Attorney present. Defendant successfully completed treatment on furlough and is back in custody. State does not agree to release today. Defendant to file bond motion which is scheduled for hearing 05/19/2023 at 10 AM.

 

Stacey Worker: Defendant appears remotely pro se and State's Attorney present. Defendant still has not had her substance abuse evaluation due to lack of transportation and money. Public defender appointed to represent Defendant. Appearance with counsel scheduled for 6-20-23 at 10 a.m.
