5-1-26
Shelby Ashcroft-Suckow, 20, of Rosamond, was driving east on 350 North RD near 1400 East RD when the vehicle struck a deer in the road and came to a stop on the side of the road.
5-5-26
Mary Stickel, 31, of Kincaid, was trying to back out of a parking spot and turned into a parked car sitting to their right.
Andrew Brooks, 22, of Lighthouse Point, FL, was facing east and parked on the north side of the roadway on 800 East RD and was pulling a fiber optic construction box trailer. Brooks was working on the side of the roadway and was parked partially in the roadway. Brooks stated he was out of the vehicle and had cones around the trailer when Edward Miller, 76, of Owaneco, was traveling westbound on 800 North RD and attempted to pass around Brooks' vehicle. Miller was pulling a livestock trailer when his trailer tire hit the door of the trailer being pulled by Brooks.
5-7-26
Rita Kissel, 60, of Rochester, was traveling westbound on 2975 North RD near the intersection of 1735 East RD when the vehicle struck a deer in the roadway.
5-9-26
Alicia Daily, 44, of Blue Mound, was traveling southbound on S. Main Street near North Street in Stonington, while Kyle Lee, 20, of Collinsville was traveling northbound on the same roadway. Daily attempted to make a left turn into the Casey’s General Store parking lot, entering the driving lane of Lee, resulting in a collision in the roadway.
5-10-26
Steven Tischkau, 55, of Farmersville, was traveling west on IL RT 104 when a deer entered the roadway, and the vehicle collided with the deer.
5-14-26
Zachary DeLong, 34, of Morrisonville, was traveling north on IL RT 29 when a deer entered the roadway. The vehicle struck the deer and sustained damage to its front portion of the vehicle.
5-16-26
Ethan Cumberworth, 18, of Riverton, was driving South on IL RT 48 when it left the north side of the roadway. Cumberworth corrected and spun around in the road before leaving the road on the south side and coming to a stop in the ditch.
Samantha Churchill, 19, of South Jacksonville, was traveling southbound on IL RT 48 near 1025 North RD when she swerved to avoid a deer that had entered the roadway. The vehicle veered into the northbound lane and subsequently came to a complete stop after colliding with an embankment on the east side of the road.
5-17-26
David Schulze, 38, of Salem, was traveling southbound on 1250 East RD at Wantland DR when a deer entered the roadway and was struck by the vehicle.
5-19-26
Lawrence Impastato, 79, of Taylorville, was traveling northbound on 1250 East RD and 700 North when a deer entered the roadway and was struck by the vehicle.
5-23-26
Ashley Key, 26, of Kincaid, was attempting to back from the roadway into a residential drive and navigated the turn too quickly and struck the rear passenger’s side of another vehicle.
Aidan Feld, 21, of Chatham, was traveling North on 1250 East RD when a deer entered the roadway and struck the front passenger side of the vehicle.
5-24-26
Christiana Zipprich, 35, of Litchfield, was traveling southwest on IL RT 48 and was passing another vehicle also traveling southwest. An unknown vehicle traveling northeast came into view of Zipprich. Zipprich then attempted to change lanes back into the southwest lane of traffic. The driver then lost control of the vehicle and went into a skid. The vehicle exited the road on the north side and hit the ditch. The vehicle then rolled multiple times and crashed into a power pole guide wire. The vehicle came to rest on 100 East RD in the east ditch on its roof. The driver was able to exit the vehicle. The power pole that was supported by the guide wire snapped 10-15 feet in the air and caused wires to cross both lanes of traffic on IL RT 48. Brian Lynch, 67, of Taylorville, was traveling northeast after the crash happened on the dark highway and ran into the wires, resulting in damage to the front end of the vehicle.
