The following motor vehicle accidents were reported to Hart Media Group by the Taylorville Police Department on 04/27/26.
On 04/13/26, Kathleen E. White and a juvenile driver were both backing out of parking spaces in front of the 111 West Main Cross Street. White was reversing southeast, and the juvenile was reversing northeast. White's rear bumper struck the juvenile's rear bumper on the passenger side. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles drove away from the scene.
On 04/23/2026, Michael L. Arterburn was driving northbound on South Madison Street, and a juvenile driver was headed westbound on West Market Streeet. Arterburn disregarded a stop sign, causing him to strike the driver's side doors of the juvenile driver, who had the legal right of way. Arterburn then kept driving while the juvenile remained on scene to speak with law enforcement. Arterburn was later located at his residence.
