The Christian County Sherriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

11/11/25 at 1:03 p.m.

Ruthann Strissel, 26, of Nokomis was traveling north on 1600 East RD when a deer entered the roadway. The vehicle struck the deer causing damage to the front end of the vehicle.

11/12/25 at 5:12 a.m.

Isaiah Baker, 23, of Pana (Unit 1) and Scott Carter, 60, of Decatur (Unit 2)

Unit 1 was traveling northbound on US HWY 51 and swerved to avoid a vehicle on the side of the roadway and lost control spinning into the oncoming lane. Unit 2 was traveling southbound when Unit 1 entered their lane and struck Unit 2.
