The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

7/31/25 at 3:54 p.m.
Hunter McKown, 31, of Morrisonville (Unit 1) and Joshua Jones, 50, of Taylorville (Unit 2)
Unit 1 was driving westbound on 1500 North RD and Unit 2 was driving northbound on 700 East RD when Unit 1 failed to yield and struck the passenger side of Unit 2 as it proceeded through the intersection. Unit 2 continued northwest leaving the roadway and striking a telephone pole.

8/3/25 at 10:06 p.m.
Christopher Stoffer, 34, of Mount Auburn, was driving south on 1300 East RD and 2350 North RD when it left the roadway for unknown reasons. The vehicle struck a culvert and became airborne before landing in a bean field upright. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Kertow's Towing. 

8/5/25 at 8:01 p.m.
Lilly Wahl, 21, of Pana was traveling south on 2100 East RD when a deer hit the front diver side bumper.

8/7/25 at 4:53 a.m.
Jeffrey May, 63, of Stonington was traveling west on IL RT 104 when a deer entered the roadway at 510 East. The vehicle collided with the deer in the westbound lane just east of the bridge.

Nathan K. Wiggle, age 38, of Taylorville, was arrested for Violation of Order of Protection.

A Juvenile Male, age 15, of Taylorville, was arrested for Battery.

A Juvenile Female, age 16, of Taylorville, was arrested for Battery.

Emily R. Redfern, age 37, of Taylorville, was arrested for Battery.

Michael J. Alberts, age 41, of Taylorville, was arrested for Battery.

Robert A. Coffey, age 53, of Taylorville, was arrested for Violation of Pre-Trial Release.

8/09/25

Bradley Hogge, age 53, of Taylorville was arrested on a Warrant.

8/10/25

Brett E. Cagle, age 60, of Springfield Illinois, was arrested for Public Intoxication.

Joseph R. Hadley, age 47, of Taylorville, was arrested for DUI and Hit and Run.
