Tyler Engelhart, 30, of Pana was arrested by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office for Driving On Suspended/Revoked License.
Crashes
2/21/25 at 2:47 p.m.
Unit 1 (Jessica Lee, 37, of Decatur) and Unit 2 (Robert Paul, 45, of Decatur)
Unit 1 was traveling southbound on S. Shumway ST and had stopped at the stop sign, with intersection IL RTE 48. Unit 2 was traveling westbound on IL RTE 48, approaching the intersection with S. Shumway ST/Township Road 1250 E. The driver of Unit 1 stated she did not see any oncoming traffic and proceeded into the intersection, turning left (east) on IL RTE 48. Unit 2, also proceeding into the intersection, could not stop in time to avoid striking Unit 1.
2/22/25 at 7:00 a.m.
Russell Mindrup, 95, of Taylorville was traveling north through the intersection IL RTE 48 and 1230 East RD and entered the oncoming lane of traffic and struck a stop sign located in the median. The vehicle then continued driving north on Shumway ST and the vehicle was later located at Hickory Estates in Taylorville.
2/23/25 at 11:42 p.m.
Samantha Blaney, 21, of Taylorville was traveling northbound on 1600 East RD at 1300 North RD when a deer entered the roadway from the west and was struck by vehicle inside the correct lane of traffic. The vehicle sustained cosmetic damage to front and passenger sides and was driven from the scene.

Nathan K. Wiggle, age 38, of Taylorville was arrested for Electronic Tampering, Resisting Arrest, and Escape.

Dayton L. Durbin, age 27, of Jacksonville Illinois was arrested for Criminal Damage to Government Property.
