Area Arrests And Accidents 06/24/24

The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

6/19/24

 

A minor from Moweaqua was traveling West on County 4 around 2450 East a deer ran into the roadway. The vehicle hit the deer causing damage to the front of her vehicle.

 

6/21/24

 

Innocent Nzabarantuma, 26, of Louisville, KY was traveling Northbound on IL Route 29; Derek Dye, 41, of Stonington was also traveling Northbound on IL Route 29. Innocent Nzabarantuma vehicle overtook Derek Dye’s vehicle and hit the rear drivers side of Derek Dye’s vehicle. Both vehicles came to a stop in the median of IL Route 29; no injuries were reported.

 

6/23/24

 

A minor from Decatur was traveling South on 2625 East Road. The driver lost control of the vehicle and began skidding. The vehicle came to a stop in the ditch/corn field on the Eastside of the road.

 

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

6/21/24


A Juvenile Male, age 17, of Stonington Illinois, was arrested for Reckless Driving.


6/22/24

 

Aaron C. Davis, age 48, of Kincaid Illinois, was arrested for Criminal Trespass. 

 

Ann L. Stafford, age 54 of Taylorville was arrested for Criminal Trespass and Retail Theft. 

 

Cortney M. Reynolds, age 33, of Taylorville was arrested for Criminal Damage to Property.

 

Taylorville Police investigated the following crashes: 

On June 14th at 9:18 PM, Kayden Mashburn of Taylorville and Mark Mcinerney of Bald Knob, Arkansas were traveling northbound on McAdam Drive.  Mcinerney turned right onto Lindenwood Drive.  Mashburn's front end struck Mcinerney's rear end and Mcinerney went off the roadway striking the fence of Deborah Krotz.  Mashburn was able to drive away from the scene but Mcinerney was towed from the scene. 

 

On June 19th at 6:59 PM, A minor from Taylorville was traveling northbound on Lawrence Ave. approaching a stop sign.  Breanna K. Kromm of Taylorville was traveling eastbound on Northern Ave.  The minor failed to stop before the stop sign, striking Kromm's rear passenger wheel and fender. 

 

On June 20th at 5:29 PM, Broderick A. Whitaker of Taylorville backed from a parking spot, striking a parked car.  Whitaker reportedly left the scene without notifying the owner. Police eventually made contact with Whitaker.
