Area Arrests And Accidents 06/04/24

The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

5/26/24

 

Montgomery Weddle, 20, of Pana was traveling South on 1600 East Road towards Illinois Route 29 when Kelsey Rahar, 19, of Pana vehicle’s struck the rear of Montgomery Weddle’s vehicle multiple times. 

 

5/28/24

 

Pamela Williams, 60, of Kincaid was traveling East on IL RTE 104 when a deer at the location of 794 East crossed in front of the vehicle. The deer struck the front divers side of the vehicle.

 

5/29/24

 

Jennifer Law, 46, of Mount Auburn was traveling West on County Highway 2, when Michael Fisher, 29, of Edinburg was traveling East on County Highway 2. Jennifer Law stated she lost control of the vehicle and traveled into the Eastbound lane of traffic. Michael Fisher stated he turned his vehicle to the left just before Law’s vehicle crashed into him, Law’s vehicle hit Fisher’s vehicle head on. Fisher’s vehicle came to a stop in the ditch on the North Side of the road. Law’s vehicle came to a stop partially in the ditch and roadway on the South Side of the roadway. Jennifer Law was issued three traffic citations.

 

5/30/24

 

Brooke Elder, 17, of Stonington was traveling on US RT 51 Northbound in the right lane. A deer entered the roadway from the grass median and Brooke Elder struck the deer in her lane of traffic. Brooke Elder stated she was uninjured and her vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

6/1/24

 

Kurtis Oberby, 19, of Assumption was traveling West on 1300 N RD when he failed to stop at the stop sign at 2300 East RD. The vehicle continued through the intersection colliding with a ditch on the West Side of 2300 East RD. The vehicle sustained damage to its front end and was towed from the scene by Kertow’s Towing. No injuries were reported.

 

 

5/31/24

Myles Clayton, 18, of Taylorville was traveling Southbound on 2225E RD near 2000N RD when a deer entered the roadway and was struck by Myles Clayton’s vehicle.
