Area Arrests And Accidents 11/10/23

The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

Crashes

10-31-23 Samantha Walter was traveling east on Illinois Route 16, just east of Pana. Walter stated that a deer ran into the roadway and she was unable to avoid striking it. The vehicle was towed due to damage in the crash. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.

 

11-01-23 Shiana Bailey was travelling eastbound on 1700 North Road at approximately 1500 E. Road when it approached a slight right turn. The vehicle began to spinout and enter the ditch north of 1700 N. Road. No injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

11-2-23 Robert Aten was traveling east on route 16 and struck a deer in the roadway. The vehicle came to a stop on the south side of route 16. No injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

11-2-23 Thomas May was traveling on Route 48 in Taylorville and hit a deer in the roadway. No injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

11-4-23 Russel Ishmael was traveling south on 1800 E. at approximately 450 N. when he struck a deer. The vehicle was able to be driven from the scene. No injuries.

 

11-4-23 Caitlin Ostermeier called the Sheriff's Office to report she struck a deer the prior evening near 891 N. 1700 E. Road in Locust township. No injuries. No tow.

 

11-5-23 Kayla Newman was traveling south on 600 East Road  in South Fork township when a deer entered the roadway. Newman was unable to avoid the deer. Newman struck the deer in the roadway and sustained damage to the vehicle’s driver side. No injuries were reported. No tow.

 

11-7-23 John Mann was heading west on 2150 North Road at approximately 625 E. in Buckhart township when the driver lost control of the vehicle. Mann continued through the T-shaped intersection at 625 East Road and then left the roadway and struck a ditch on the West side of the road. No injuries. No tow.

 

11-7-23 Padilla Vasquez was traveling North on 2600 East Road in Pana township when a deer entered the roadway. Vasquez was unable to avoid hitting the deer. The vehicle sustained damage to the front end and was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

Dylan R. Blades, age 27, of Edinburg Illinois was arrested for Residential Burglary.

 

11/06/23
Michael S. Gobble, age 36, of Taylorville was arrested on a Warrant.
