Area Arrests And Accidents 10/23/23

The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

Arrests

 

10-19-23 Robert Roark, age 33, of Oakley was arrested by CCSO on a warrant for burglary.

 

10-19-23 Brad Tolen, age 39, of Maroa was arrested by Pana PD for theft.

 

 

Crashes

 

10-10-23 Craig Moore was traveling on IL Route 48 in Taylorville township when he struck a deer northeast of Cherokee St. and came to a stop on the south side of the roadway. Moore was able to drive away from the scene. No injuries.

 

10-13-23 Adam Hankison was traveling east on IL Route 104 at approximately 50 E. when he struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

10-18-23 Timothy Winans was traveling east on IL Route 104 at about 175 East Road when a deer ran into the road, striking the front of the truck. The vehicle was towed from the scene. No injuries.

 

10-18-23 Shannon Emmons was traveling west on 1600 N. in May township at approximately 1850 E. when she struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries. No tow.

 

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

10/20/23

 

A Juvenile Male, age 16, of Taylorville was arrested for Aggravated Assault and Criminal Damage.

 

Hayley N. Hull, age 30, of Bulpitt Illinois was arrested for Retail Theft.

 

The Taylorville Police Department investigated the following crashes:

 

On October 13th at 3:32 PM, Carl T. Parry of Taylorville was waiting on traffic to turn west onto West Park Avenue from North Cheney Street.  Ella J. Saxe of Morrisonville failed to reduce speed and struck Parry from behind.  No injuries were reported.  

 

On October 21, 2023 at 10:21 AM, Leann L. Hively of Quincy was driving south on Route 29 when the driver failed to reduce speed at a work zone that stopped traffic.  Robert J. Stephens of Taylorville was stopped in front of Verdale Marquardt of Quincy when Hively collided with its rear end pushing it into Marquardt's vehicle.  Major damage was done to Hively's front bumper, Stephens and Marquardt sustained minor damage.  Hively was injured and transported to TMH for evaluation. 

 

On October 21st at 1:22 PM, Melane R. Coulter of Mason City was in the right lane heading southeast on Springfield Road.  Coulter's vehicle was in the right lane changing to the left lane and did not see Haydee L. Franklin of Springfield.  Both vehicles hit.  No reports of injuries and both were able to drive away. 

 

On October 21st, at 5:02 PM, Steven A. Hansen of Taylorville struck Lindsay E. Moomey of Morrisonville after entering East Park Street north bound from Long street.  Hansen and Moomey came to rest directly west approximately 30 feet west of the intersection.  No injuries were reported.
