The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

Arrests

8-6-23 Lester Ward, age 47 of Pana was arrested by Pana PD on a FTA warrant for possession of meth.

Crashes

8-4-23 Gregory Niehaus was heading northwest at 111 3rd St in Palmer, IL when the top of his vehicle caught a low hanging telephone line. The low hanging telephone line then pulled three telephone poles to the ground. No injuries. No tow.

8-5-23 Conner Frame was traveling northbound on a private lane from Adams Cemetery approaching 2100 N. Rd. Frame crosses 2100 N. Rd. and went into the north ditch at this intersection. The vehicle crosses the ditch and comes to rest in an adjacent cornfield. Frame’s vehicle was pulled out of the field by another vehicle, at which point the tow strap broke and the vehicle struck a tree in the ditch on the southwest corner of this intersection. All airbags deployed. Frame abandoned the vehicle. No injuries. No tow.

8-5-23 Briana Patton was heading southeast at approximately 2198 N. when she lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway. Patton drove through the ditch on the South side of IL Route 29 and into a field. No injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

8-6-23 Patricia Wise was heading northwest on IL Route 29 at approximately 1900 N. when she struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries. No tow.
