The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

5-1-23 Patrick Carr, age 26, of Taylorville was arrested by Sangamon County on a Christian County FTA warrant for possession of meth.

5-2-23 Kevin Carrell, age 21, of Pana was arrested by Pana PD for VIOL SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION.

Crashes

4-21-23 Rodney Cline was traveling south on county road 1 when he struck a deer in the roadway. No injury. No tow.

5-2-23 Jeremy Dunstan and James Morgan were involved in a traffic crash in Buckhart township. Morgan was traveling southwest on 800 East Road and was stopped at the stop sign before crossing Illinois Route 29. Dunstan was traveling southwest on 800 East Road and approached Illinois Route 29 behind Morgan. Dunstan said he briefly fell asleep while driving and crashed into the back of Morgan. Morgan’s vehicle was drivable after the crash and Dunstan had to be towed from the crash. No injuries.

5-3-23 Michael Hattenbach and Kristina Houser were involved in a traffic crash in Taylorville township. Houser was traveling east on IL Route 104. Hattenbach was also traveling east on IL Route 104 behind Houser. Houser slowed abruptly to make a right (south) turn onto 980 East Road. Hattenbach failed to reduce speed enough and rear-ended Houser. No injuries. Hattenbach’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
