The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

Crashes

4-23-23 Unit 1 was traveling south on 2500 East road. Unit 1 driver failed to reduce speed approaching the intersection. Unit 1 struck the ditch and came to a stop in the field. Driver of Unit 1 is unknown. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

4-24-23 Carly Hagan was traveling north on County Highway 5 at approximately 1925 N when she struck a deer. The vehicle was driven from the scene. No injuries.

4-24-23 Clayton Woolard was traveling south on U.S. Route 51 approaching the intersection with 100 North Road. A witness vehicle was attempting to turn left (east) onto 100 North Road from the southbound lane. Witness vehicle had come to a stop, with left turn signal on, waiting for oncoming traffic to pass before left turn could be made. Woolard was following turning witness vehicle and was unable to stop in time. Woolard swerved to the right (west) to avoid hitting witness vehicle and continued across 100 North Road and struck a ditch embankment and small trees. Woolard refused medical but was transported to hospital by family. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Arrests

4-28-23 Robert W. Oliver, age 46 of Taylorville was arrested by Decatur PD on a Christian County FTA warrant for VIOLATE SEX OFFENDER REGIS.
