Area Arrests And Accidents 04/12/23

The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

Arrests

 

4-11-23 Dallas West, age 30, of Assumption was arrested by CCSO on a FTA warrant  for driving on suspended license.

 

 

Crashes

 

4-5-23 Tim Nohren was traveling West on Illinois Route 16 when a deer entered the roadway. Nohren was unable to avoid the deer. Nohren struck the deer and sustained damage to the vehicle’s front end. The vehicle was driven from the scene. No injuries were reported.

 

4-7-23 A minor and John Mann were involved in a traffic crash in Edinburg. A 2013 club car golf cart was occupied by two juvenile females. The Minor was the driver of the vehicle. The minor entered the roadway from the area of 312 W franklin street. The minor entered the roadway, crossing the westbound lane of traffic, failing to yield to traffic. The minor traveled into the eastbound lane of traffic. Mann was traveling east. Mann swerved in an attempt to avoid collision with The minor. Mann traveled into the ditch on the south side of the road and was unable to avoid collision with the minor. The minor came to a stop in a yard on the north side of W. Franklin street. The minor was injured in the roadway. The minor’s passenger was not injured. Mann came to a stop facing east on the south side of W. franklin street. The minor was transported to the hospital.  The passenger was able to be driven home. Mann’s vehicle sustained damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle but was able to be driven from the scene.

 

4-8-23 David Nance was traveling west on 500 North Rd, when a deer ran in front of him and struck the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was towed from the scene. No injuries.

 

4-9-23 Jeffrey Brinkley and Randall Weaver were involved in a traffic crash. Weaver ended Brinkley, sending both vehicles off the roadway. Witness's with Norfolk Southern stated they had observed Weaver passing Brinkley around near Willy's. They then witnessed Brinkley passing Weaver, and then braking hard. Weaver stated the same, and advised he was unable to avoid striking Brinkley. Both drivers complained of neck pain and were transported for medical care. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

4/12/23
Calvin R. Williamson, age 36, of Charleston Illinois was arrested for Driving While License Revoked.
