The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

Sierra M. Durbin, age 27, of Taylorville was arrested for Driving While License Suspended.

Taylorville Police responded to the following car accidents: 

Jordan Belden of Beecher City was traveling southbound on Route 29 on December 28th at 8:46 PM and swerved to hit a deer.  Belden struck the deer but was uninjured. 

Joshua P. Nation of Edwardsville reported on December 29th that their vehicle had been hit the prior week. Nation said they did not know the exact date or time the accident occurred but it was either Dec. 23rd or 24th. According to police, Nation’s parent advised that the accident was minor and no damage occurred to either vehicle. 

Mason A. Scattergood was headed northeast on Route 48 near Cherokee Street when he drove off the roadway into a ditch.  Scattergood was transported to St. John’s hospital with injuries. 

Taylorville police responded to a vehicle accident on January 6th at 8:57 PM. TPD was dispatched to 821 E. Elm.  Amanda D. Johanningmeier of Taylorville reported sideswiping a parked car.  TPD made contact with the other vehicle’s owner who was parked legally on the side of the street. Johanningmeier’s vehicle had minor damage and the hit vehicle’s side door was damaged and the mirror was broken off.  Johanningmeier was issued a citation.
