The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

Crashes

10-12-22 Dylan Sunberg was traveling southwest on IL Route 48 in Taylorville when he swerved off the road to miss a deer. Sunberg was found facing southwest. The vehicle was towed from the scene and Sunberg was taken to the hospital aby ambulance.

10-15-22 Wanda Books and Randall Workman were involved in a traffic crash in Assumption township. Books was eastbound on Shelby County 2100 N. Rd, and Workman was westbound. Workman was a John Deere combine with a head attachment. As the two units met on 2100 N Rd, Workman grazed the driver side mirror of Books causing minor damage. Driver of Workman was unaware and continued west into Christian County. Unit 2 turned northbound on Business 51 from Leafland. Books was attempting to gain Workman’s attention to get him to stop. Books pulled in front of Workman and came to a stop. Workman was unable to come to a stop in time and struck Books in the rear, causing major damage to her vehicle. No injuries. No tow.
