Area Arrests And Accidents 10/18/22

The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

10-17-22 Kelsie Bass, age 27 of Nokomis was arrested by CCSO for a FTA warrant for burglary.

 

10-17-22 Tyrone Powyszynski, age 48 of Pana was arrested by Pana PD on a FTA warrant for burglary.

 

Crashes

 

10-15-22 Shad Richards was traveling south on 800 East Road in Taylorville township when he failed to stop at the intersection on 800 East and 1800 North Road. Richards continued through the intersection and struck the ditch. He continued through a standing soybean field turning left and struck the east side of the ditch. Richards came to rest partially in the roadway and the ditch. Richards was taken to the hospital by ambulance and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

10-16-22 Amanda Long was northbound on 1400 East Road in Mt. Auburn Township when she lost control of the vehicle, over corrected and left the roadway on the east side. No injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

Billi J. Woodruff, age 55, of Taylorville was arrested for Retail Theft and Criminal Trespass to Property.

 

Angela M. Beard, age 48, of Taylorville was arrested on a Warrant.

 

John E. Zini, age 29 of Taylorville was arrested for Violation of Bond.

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to the following accidents:

 

October 4th at 10:34 AM Ricky Graham of Roodhouse was turning right westbound onto Spresser Street from Cheney when it performed an improper turn and cargo got stuck on a traffic signal. Graham was unaware he had hit the sign. 

 

October 4th at 5:26 PM Martha Davis of Fillmore and a minor from Taylorville were both traveling on Route 29.  Davis was heading south and the minor was heading north.  Davis failed to yield striking the minor.  No injuries were reported.

 

October 14th at 4 PM.  Paige Hall of Taylorville and Malisha Bradley of Mount Auburn were both headed on North Cheney Street when Hall struck Bradley's rear.  No injuries were reported.  

 

October 6th at 3:51 PM. Casey Mathias of Taylorville and a minor from Taylorville were headed on Morton and Franklin Streets.  Mathias failed to yield while heading north on Morton Street at Franklin.  The minor was headed west on Franklin when it was struck on the drivers side by Mathias. Mathias was cited for failure to yield and no drivers license.  

 

October 14th at 8:01 AM.  A minor was involved in an accident with Sione Neeley of Taylorville. Both vehicles collided after the minor struck Neeley while Neeley was stopped on Cheney Street facing north.  The minor was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
