Area Arrests And Accidents 10/5/22

The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

Crashes

 

9-26-22 Sean Schmedeke was traveling northbound on 200 East Road in King township when he left the roadway into the east ditch damaging the right front quarter panel, bumper and right front wheel. The vehicle was towed from the scene. No injuries.

 

10-2-22 John Graham and Blake Clinard were involved in a traffic crash in Mt Auburn township. Graham was traveling South on 1400 East Road. Clinard was traveling West on 2850 North Road. Graham failed to stop at the stop sign and struck Clinard in the intersection of 1400 E 2850 North Road. Clinard said his vehicle rolled and he was ejected from his vehicle. Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to disabling damage.

 

10-4-22 Sharon Mueller and Donald Rathgeber were involved in a traffic crash in Morrisonville. Rathgeber was traveling southwest on IL Route 48 at intersection with North Street in Morrisonville. Mueller was traveling west on North Street and stopped at the stop sign and then entered the intersection. Mueller entered the intersection in front of Rathgeber. Rathgeber hit Mueller in the intersection. Both units were towed from the scene. 

 

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

10/02/22

 

Dakota L. Hitchcock, age 25, of Morrisonville Illinois was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Battery. 

 

10/04/22

 

Michael A. Blake, age 34, of Palmer Illinois was arrested on a Warrant.

 

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident on the morning of October 1st.  Jesse Cooper from Springfield was traveling east on West Poplar Street down a narrow path with workers to the left side of the roadway.  Workers were putting in a new sidewalk and Cooper attempted to negotiate to go around a parked vehicle but did not give it enough room and made contact with the vehicle causing damage to both vehicles. 

 

Taylorville Police also responded to a vehicle crash on October 1st at 2:48 PM on Cheney and Springfield. Dale Kubatzke of Freeport was headed east on Springfield road coming up to the North Cheney Street intersection. Kubatzke didn't see that Chanda Thomas of Centralia was stopped at the traffic light and hit Thomas in the rear of the vehicle.  Both vehicles had damage.
