Area Arrests And Accidents 09/26/22

The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

Arrests

 

9-22-22 Glen Ryerson, age 67 was arrested by Stonington PD for criminal trespassing.

 

9-24-22 David Foraker, age 36, of Taylorville was arrested by CCSO on a FTA warrant for driving on suspended license and for domestic battery.

 

9-25-22 Keith Weller, age 33, of Taylorville was arrested by CCSO for domestic battery. 

 

Crashes

 

9-23-22 Sierra Durbin was driving south on Webster street in Taylorville IL. Durbin failed to turn or maintain the southbound lane and struck the traffic light pole on the northwest side of the intersection. The traffic light pole was not damaged. No injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

9-24-22 Rex Allen was traveling West in the "Sundown Club" parking lot and struck an electric pole. Dunns ambulance transported the driver from the scene.  

 

9-25-22 Mary Upchurch and Michelle Lumb were involved in a traffic crash in Taylorville township. Upchurch was turning left (east) onto Illinois Route 104 from 900 East Road. Lumb was traveling eastbound on Illinois Route 104. Upchurch turned in front of Lumb at the intersection. Lumb attempting to stop, but could not, causing a collision. Lumb’s front driver's side struck Upchurch’s rear-side passenger. No injuries. No tow.
 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

9/23/22

 

David A. Foraker, age 36, of Taylorville was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and Driving a Vehicle with Suspended Registration.

 

9/24/22

 

Jenna M. Poelker, age 18, of Taylorville was arrested for Illegal Consumption of Alcohol.

 

9/25/22

 

Keith J. Weller, age 33 of Taylorville was arrested on a Warrant.

 

Taylorville Police responded to the following vehicle accidents:

 

A minor from Taylorville and Jessimaya Baird from Taylorville were both headed southbound in the left lane on Webster Street on September 9th when Baird slowed down from traffic.  The minor failed to reduce speed and struck Baird's rear. The minor's vehicle than left the lane of travel entering the right southbound lane sideswiping Baird's vehicle. The minor received a citation for failure to reduce speed.  Both vehicles were able to drive away and no injuries were reported. 

 

A crash on September 11th, on Route 104 between Sierra Finch of Decatur and Kimberly Curl of Kincaid.  Finch was traveling east on Route 104 approaching the intersection of Route 104 and Route 29.  Curl was stopped in traffic and Finch struck the rear of Curl's Vehicle.  Finch was issued a citation. No injuries were reported. 

 

A crash took place on September 12th at around 1:05 PM. Sarah McBroom of Taylorville was in the parking lot of Caseys and attempted to cross over Cheney Street to the Northbound lane. McBroom was waved across by another vehicle but did not see Danielle Morrow of Nokomis coming into the southbound lane to turn left and both vehicles struck.  McBroom took a passenger to the doctor to be checked out but otherwise there were no injuries. 

 

A crash took place on September 22nd around 8 AM.  John Snyder of Girard was heading south on Webster Street and entered the turn lane at the stop light.  Ellie Kunkler of Taylorville was heading south on Webster Street.  As Kunkler approached the intersection, Snyder continued south on Webster Street.  The two vehicles struck.  Snyder was issued a citation.

 

A crash took place on September 13th at 7:47 AM.  Angel Nolan of Taylorville and Brandi Halligan of Taylorville were on the 100 Block of Elevator Street.  Nolan was backing out of the driveway at 1130 W. Vine Street and did not see Halligan there striking Halligan. No citations were issued, no one was injured.
