Area Arrests and Accidents 8/4/22

Christian County Sheriff’s Office reports the following to Regional Radio News:

08-03-22 Robert Abberley, age 52, of Pana was arrested by Pana PD on a FTA warrant for criminal damage to property.

Taylorville Police Department reports the following to Regional Radio News:


Kristin D. House, age 29, of Springfield was arrested for Theft.



07-27-22 Officer responded to a motor vehicle accident involving 2 vehicles.
When police arrived on scene, one driver informed officers that the driver of a 1998 Chevy S10, Mitchell Jones, backed out of a parking spot on East Main Cross Street in Taylorville and hit another vehicle. No injuries, no tow. 


07-29-22 Ian Stoutenborough was traveling on Route 48 in Stonington when an oncoming vehicle veered into his lane. The mirror of the vehicle struck Stoutenborough’s doors on the driver side. The vehicle continued in the opposite direction never stopping. No injuries. No tow. 


07-30-22 The driver of a 2000 Mercedes SUV, Nathan Pinnell, drove northwest on Route 29.  Both units had a green light. Pinnell failed to yield turning left and was struck by the driver of a 2018 Ford Sedan, Rhonda Walters. No injuries and both vehicles drove from the scene. Police issued a citation to Pinnell for failure to yield. 


07-30-22 at approximately 10:53 PM, A 2010 Honda Four Door Sedan and a 2013 Chevy Equinox traveled west on East Park Street. The driver of the Equinox, Latarsha Banks, reached the intersection at North Pershing Street and came to a stop, where a temporary traffic control device was present during a period of road maintenance.The driver of the Equinox, Alexandra Albury, failed to stop at the traffic control device, and struck the Honda in the passenger-side portion of the vehicle’s rear bumper. Moderate damage was observed upon both vehicles; both bumpers were cracked at the point of first contact. No injuries, or other collisions, were reported in connection with this incident.
