Area Arrests and Accidents 06/29/22

Taylorville Police Department reports the following to Regional Radio News

6/28/22
Michael P. Neece, age 47, of Taylorville was arrested for aggravated Fleeing and Eluding, Driving While License Revoked, and Violation of Bond.


Brittany L. Kuhns, age 36, of Taylorville was arrested for Domestic Battery. 

 

Christian County Sheriff's Office reports the following to Regional Radio News

06-28-22 Lewis Paulen, age 45,  of Springfield was arrested by CCSO on a FTA warrant for driving suspended.

 

06-29-22 Heide Achenbach, age 41, of Taylorville by CCSO for DUI

 

Crashes

6/23/22 – David Maskel drove a 2004 Chrysler Town & Country into a legally parked vehicle on Cheney street. The collision caused sideswipe damage to the unoccupied vehicle. Maskel says that he did not recall the crash and blacked out during the incident. EMS evaulated him and determined he was not suffering from an medical condition at the time of the crash. Officers cited Maskel for improper lane usage and leaving the scene of an accident. 

 

6/24/22 – A witness says she saw the driver of a 2016 Chevrolet 1500 pickup roll into the intersection on South Shumway Street after not fully stopping at the stop sign. The Chevy received contact from a 2018 Toyota Prius. Officers cited the driver of the Chevy, Glenn Sherman, for failure to stop at a stop intersection. No injuries or tow. 

 

6/24/22 – Officer Niles responded to a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of W. Franklin and S. Madison around 10:45 p.m. The driver of a 2008 Hyundai elantra, Marina Woolsey, struck a stationary vehicle. No injuries. The Hyundai had to be towed. 

 

06-26-22 Felicity Knott was traveling east on 2975 North Rd. when she left the roadway and collided in the corn field. The wide path knocked down corn plants. The driver said something ran out in front of her and she lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle was towed from the scene. No injuries.

 

6/26/22 – Taylorville Police Department receive a call around 3 p.m. from someone claiming they witnessed an accident at the intersection of South Clay and West Adams Streets. Christian County Sheriff’s Office said both drivers were at their office. The driver of a 2006 Ford F150 pickup, Oliver Payne, told Sgt Deputy Telford he did not see the stop sign in time to stop at the intersection, and said he hit the driver of a 2020 Mitsubishi SUV, Michael Morrissey, who started yelling at Payne. Police cited Payne for disobeying traffic control devices.
