Area Arrests And Accidents 06/24/22

The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

06-22-22 Christyl Crowe, age 45, of Taylorville was arrested by CCSO for DUI and reckless driving.

 

06-23-22 Larissa Swisher, age 21, of Assumption was arrested by CCSO on a FTA warrant for possession.

 

06-23-22 Velma Copeland, age 49, of Kincaid was arrested by Kincaid PD for driving while license revoked/suspended.

 

6-19-22 Heath Ealey was traveling in Mount Auburn township when he swerved to avoid hitting a deer and wrecked. He was taken to the hospital and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

6-21-22 Caitlyn Turner was traveling northwest on IL Route 29 at approximately 1875 N when she struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

Cheri L. Cott, age 48, of Taylorville was arrested on June 21st for Theft, Driving Without a Valid Driver’s License, and Driving a Vehicle with a Suspended Registration.

 

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident on June 18th at 6:59 PM. Howard M. Yodar of Taylorville was parked in front of 110 South Main Street in a parking spot on the east side of the square.  As he backed up, he hit the passenger side of William H. Richardson III of Taylorville.  who was traveling north bound.  Both vehicles were driveable and no injuries were reported. 

 

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident on June 19th at 4:40 PM. A vehicle driven by Brian  P. Farrar was traveling north on Webster Street in the right hand lane.  A minor from Taylorville was driving north on Webster Street in the left hand lane.  The minor decided to make a right hand turn in front of Farrar to go to KFC and struck Farrar's vehicle. Both vehicles had significant damage. The minor was issued two citations for improper turn and graduated driver with one passenger limit. 

 

The Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident on June 19th at 9:34 PM.  Keegan Norris of Taylorville was driving behind a minor from Taylorville and both were both eastbound on Park Street approaching the intersection of Long Street.  The minor slowed in traffic in preparation to turn north onto Long Street. Norris failed to reduce speed and struck the rear of the minor.  All occupants refused EMS on the scene and Norris received a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
