Area Arrests And Accidents 05/18/22

The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

05-17-22 Trisha Weakley 37 was arrested by Macon County on a failure to appear for possession of meth.

 

05-17-22 Douglas Manuel 30 was arrested by Pana PD on a failure to appear for theft.

 

05-17-22 Alexis Rosa 24 was arrested by TPD for controlled substance trafficking and causing a child to be endangered.

 

05-17-22 Marissa Tennant 30 was arrested by TPD for possession of a controlled substance, armed violence, causing a child to be endangered, permit unlawful use of a building and possession with intent to deliver.

 

05-17-22 Thomas Painter 24  was arrested by TPD for possession of a controlled substance, armed violence, causing a child to be endangered, permit unlawful use of a building and possession with intent to deliver.

 

05-16-22 Josh Raker was traveling eastbound on IL Route 16  in Pana township when he struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

05-17-22 Michael Jones and Nadine Williams were traveling on Spresser St. in Taylorville when Jones rear ended Williams. No injuries. Williams’s vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;


Aubrey D. Smith, age 56, of Taylorville was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine.

 

Marissa N. Tennant, age 30, of Taylorville was arrested for possession with Intent, and Armed violence.

 

Alexis N. Rosa, age 22, of Springfield was arrested for Delivery and Child Endangerment.

 

Thomas L. Painter, age 24, of Taylorville was arrested for Armed Violence and Delivery with Intent. 

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on May 14th.  A vehicle that was owned by Deborah A. Gartshore of Wheaton, IL was parked at 809 Samuel Street. A vehicle driven by a minor was backing out of the driveway at 808 Samuel Street and struck Gartshore's parked car.  The minor left the scene but the incident was caught on camera and they were located and issued two citations. 

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on May 13th. A vehicle driven by Shawn Kail of Taylorville traveled eastbound on E. Poplar Street at the intersection of N. Shawnee Street.  Ashton Cruse of Taylorville traveled northbound on Shawnee Street.  Kail stated he stopped at the stop sign and then proceed through.  He stated the A-pillar on the passenger side of his vehicle obstructed his view and he did not see Cruse in the intersection and the two vehicles struck.  No injuries were reported. Kail received a citation.
