Area Arrests And Accidents 05/16/22

The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

05-14-22 Jason Clements 37 was arrested by Kincaid PD for phone harassment.

 

05-14-22 Bradley Gensler 36 was arrested by Kincaid PD for possession of a controlled substance.

 

05-14-22 Brittany Spencer 25 was arrested by Kincaid PD for possession of a controlled substance.

 

5-15-22 Derek Massey 31 was arrested by CCSO on a failure to appear for aggravated domestic battery.

 

05-15-22 Justin Sherman 40 was arrested by CCSO for driving on suspended/revoked license.

 

5-16-22 Dakota Grandfield 25 was arrested by Pana PD on a failure to appear for battery.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

5/13/2022
Jeffrey R. Crane, age 39, of Taylorville, was arrested for Battery.

 

Joseph Sherman, age 27, of Taylorville was arrested for Driving While License Suspended.

 

Carlee J. Beeson, age 34, of Pana was arrested for Retail Theft.

 

Candis M. Beeson, age 39, of Pana was arrested for Retail Theft.

Tameka M. Holmes, age 22, of Kincaid was arrested for Criminal Damage to Property.

 

On May 9th, Taylorville Police responded to the 1100 Block of East 1500 North Road in Taylorville Anita R. Lucas of Kincaid was exiting the Car Wash City Parking Lot onto Illinois Route 104 (1500 North Road) Lucas stated she waited for a couple of vehicles to travel in front of her and then exited the parking lot and struck a minor from Kincaid with the front end of her vehicle.  Lucas told police she thought the minor was speeding. The minor stated they were traveling eastbound on Illinois Route 104 and Lucas pulled out from the parking lot and struck the passenger side of their vehicle. They stated that they saw Lucas pulling out and attempted to avoid the collision but were unable to. No injuries were reported. 

 

On May 12th, TPD responded to a vehicle crash on Cheney. Mary Lynch of Kincaid was headed north on Cheney approaching Brett A. Merciel of Taylorville who was stopped at a red light.  Lynch struck the rear of Merciel's vehicle.  No injuries were reported and no citations were given.
